Case study: Roadshow

Client :

A US biotechnology company aims to discover precise genomic solutions for a disease. It provides a range of preclinical services, including in vivo mouse models.


The company is established in its home market and recognized internationally, but it holds only a small market share in Europe. As part of their strategy to grow their European presence, they recruited a business development manager in Germany. To raise market awareness and launch a new technology based on humanized mice, they decided to run a roadshow to present the technology in major cities in Europe.


The business development manager brought Novoptim on board to leverage our expertise in selecting European hot spots and clusters to target. We identified and selected the location for each of the seminars in 5 cities (Basel, Paris, Cambridge Frankfurt and Munich), recruited the speakers and coordinated the event locally for each venue. We also handled invitation and registration management, including telephone campaigns to increase participation. For each seminar, Novoptim implemented lead generation and qualification methodology to identify prospects and then booked qualified meetings after the events.

Key achievements:

Over 250 attendees came to the 5 seminars and hailed it as a success. Novoptim booked 12 qualified meetings for the client, creating immediate business opportunities for the new European business development manager.

Overall the impact for the client was strong, delivering both a healthy start for the launch of the new technology and increased visibility in Europe.
